The article outlines the impact of informational and educational environment of the University library on the student’s personality, the relevance of formation of spiritually-moral value orientations of users; author proposed definition of the notion "spiritual and moral values"; the formation of the individual student is presented as a variety of directions on example of service department’s work of scientific library in Mariupol State University.
