The topic of the conference 2024: "ON THE PATH TO ENHANCING EQUITY, DIVERSITY, ACCESSIBILITY, INCLUSION"
The pursuit of social justice is part of the mission of libraries. Therefore, the possibility of eliminating systemic inequalities in education by promoting effective, inclusive, and equitable access to quality academic resources, services, and spaces motivates librarians to constantly look for new ways and initiate new projects.
The current situation in the world requires increased attention to equity issues, mainly due to various disruptive factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, armed conflicts, political unrest, climate change, and natural disasters, which have reinforced the importance of equity and inclusion - the cornerstone of a number of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The global library and information community celebrates the diverse nature of humanity and the unique nature of all people. That is why we strive to fight nazism, racism, hatred and prejudice, and to confront systems of oppression whenever and wherever we encounter them.
